I almost forgot!

Drew and I paid off our last debt on Friday.  We've been following Dave Ramsey for a while now reading his book The Total Money Makeover and we listen to his daily radio broadcast from 3-6 (catching as much as we can but certainly don't listen for 3 hours each day).  When Drew initially told me we were going to be "gazelle intense" on paying off my our loans, Dave Ramsey became a curse word.  I hated the idea and I hated Dave Ramsey. I didn't want to change our lifestyle.  And I certainly did not want to go on a budget (also putting money away for retirement and kids college funds).  What's the fun in that?  Let me tell you...   ....it straight up sucks!  Drew had to practically drag me through the first half of it kicking and screaming.  We had to live like no one else (poor all the time) so we can live like no one else (have a nice big fat retirement nest egg when our kiddos are grown and gone).  We definitely celebrated each little victory with dinner out and we've been planning a debt free weekend in Chicago sans the kiddos for a while now. (Which by the way I'm reaaaalllllyyy looking forward to!!!)  Also, we sleep peacefully at night knowing we are doing what's best for our family financially.  Sure we've had to sacrifice and we still do, but now we just get to start checking things off our wish list since WE"RE DEBT FREEEEEEEEEEEE (instert Mel Gibson from Braveheart screaming Freedom)!!!!!!!!  Our next challenge?  Save 3-6 months of living expenses, go on a nice vacay and pay off the house!  My opinion of Dave has now changed, I think he should be the next president - heck, I'd vote for him!  Happy Thursday Everyone!

last year...

...my body was looking just like this at 40 weeks.  Sister did not want to come out and I was feeling D.O.N.E.  Go here to read what happened.

By the way, I just started sleeping through the night because a week and a half ago I stopped nursing Finn.  I didn't want to, but she really only wanted it in the middle of the night and I just couldn't do it anymore.  I miss it.  However, after more than 3 years of sharing my body I can proudly say that my body finally belongs to me again.
