there's no place like home

Saturday morning in the tent.

Teague on Uncle Alex's lap & in his hat.

Teague's flashlight in his mouth.

Teague has been sleeping in his bed for a whole week now.
We went camping with a huge group from church this weekend. Friday started out great. Saturday it rained off and on throughout the day. Saturday night I got to play games with some other girlies. Then, I heard Teague. He wouldn't stop crying. I went to go investigate and found Drew and Teague in our tent. I guess Teague had been crying for an hour and Drew couldn't figure out what was wrong. So I took him with me to play more games. Then my father-in-law asked me if he could take him, so I said sure. 30 minutes later I hear Teague crying again. So I went to get Drew and told him I was going to take the kids home to sleep in our own beds so that Teague could be as comfortable as possible. On the way home, I had two crying/screaming kids for the first time ever. But by the time I rolled into town they were both fast asleep. Yesterday was better. Teague even went to his first friend birthday party! Happy Birthday Ethan!

4 weeks

Here she is last night after her bath. Those are 3 months clothes and of course the matching hat doesn't quite fit yet. Getting us packed and ready for camping this weekend! Should be a fun time!

still nesting

teague's side

Finn's side

thanks auntie lissa for the roses!

I went through Finley's clothes yesterday. She's almost out of 0-3 months already because her body is so long! Then, I rearranged the crib by taking all of Teague's stuff out and putting Finn's stuff in. Teague has been sleeping in his twin bed for the last 3 nights and taking naps in it as well. He's so good, he won't get out of bed until we come in to get him.

fall is coming

(Leaves from our dog wood are turning a mauve-purple. I love it!)

I am so excited fall is coming. That means I can leave my windows open and let the crisp cool air blow through my house. I think I'll snuggle up under a blanket and read a book.

growing like a weed

(17 days old)

Finley had her two week appointment on Friday. Here's how much she has grown:
Born -8 lbs 5oz, length 20 in, head circ. 13 1/2 in
5 days - 8 lbs 12 oz, length 21 in, head circ. 14 in
2 week - 10 lbs, length 21 1/2 in, head circ. 14 1/2 in
She's in the 90th percentile for everything! Can't you tell she's a great eater?
