I am THANKFUL for turkey.
I'm THANKFUL for this turkey!

And this one too!

I'm THANKFUL for my house!

I'm THANKFUL for my family.

I'm THANKFUL for everyone who was so generous in helping us prepare for Teague.

I'm THANKFUL I have a hardworking husband who works two jobs so I don't have to.

I'm THANKFUL that I can trust that GOD will take care of everything for me and I don't have to worry... about anything!

I'm THANKFUL that I have a car that is reliable and drives well in the snow!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! If I don't see you today, know that I love you and we send hugs and kisses!

Today

Yummy chocolate pudding face! (Good view of his two teeth.)

Asleep in the new car seat.
Teague "reading" the paper.

Teague waiting for dinner.

If I saw you today, sorry I was a total grouch! I'm not going to complain, I know there will be days like these.

Sickness

Thank the Lord I haven't been sick. Monday, I was praying that Drew had food poisoning when he woke up early and said his stomach hurt followed by a trip to the bathroom. I was wrong... it was the 24-hour flu - I'll take it over H1N1. So he was home from school Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I took care of him and sterilized everything. You should have seen all the laundry!!! Last night I heard a familiar sound from Teague - CROUP! Again! So we are headed out for a walk downtown this morning. Dr. Driscoll said it's good for the lungs, but bundle him up good! Then Oma's for lunch and more work with Drew (and Lissa too). Have a great day everyone!

New Moon

YES! I love the Twilight Saga. The books are fantastic. Kelley and I just got back from seeing New Moon at the Loma and the movie is very close to the book. Is it the best movie ever made? No. (Did I like it? Yes. I highly recommend the books too.) In fact, Roger Ebert gave the movie one star. This movie is true to the book and because of that the Twilight followers love it. I can't wait for Eclipse to come out!

Updates and a Scowl!

Mid-happy scream.
My sweet baby and his big blue eyes find another way to play with his saucer.

Last Friday I was working with Drew and the leaf pile was soooo high, I just had to jump in!

Cough.

Scowl.

Jazz hands.

Another scowl. It's his new favorite look.

Milestones for being 36 weeks old:

  1. sits well in a chair
  2. can pick up and manipulate two objects (one in each hand)
  3. responds to name (Teague, Teagie, Teagie Boops, Boops, Boopers - yep, these are all the crazy names we call him)
  4. wants to be near parent (total separation anxiety)
  5. imitates play
  6. objects when something is taken away from him
  7. feeds himself some foods
  8. shakes his head NO

Swinging Again!

We went to Kiwanis Park on Monday.

Halloween 2009

My Baby Mummy
Pumpkin Carving Contest. The one on the right is swine flu. It has pumpkin guts spewing out and paper pig ears.

I carved the spider and Lissa carved the black bird.

Auntie Jennie and Teague at the Fall Family Fun Fair

Just in case you weren't sure, Teague was a puppy this year!
The top three pictures are from Matt and Jennie's annual Halloween Party. Teague is in the leftover TP from the mummy wrap. There was the obvious pumpkin carving contest, pumpkin bocce, a log throw (is that what you called it Matt?), and there were 4 people who bobbed for apples and mini snickers bars. Jennie if you send me a copy of that contest I'll post it. Thanks to Matt and Jennie for another successful party!
