End of the Year!

My Zori plant.

Spaghetti Face

These last two weeks have been totally crazy.
Saturday Dec. 22 - We started out by having the Conlin Christmas Party at my Aunt Laura's and I counted at least 40 people there. Announced the pregnancy to my family.
Monday - Thursday - Work on the stairs going down to our basement and painted the trim.
Thursday - The Zielke Christmas on Christmas Eve. Announced the pregnancy to Drew's family.
Friday - Christmas Day at our house with my parents and brothers, Drew's parents and sister Lissa, and Grandma Smith.
Saturday - The Bergman/Maier Christmas at the Maier's.
Sunday - Teague's baby dedication.
And this week sleep. Lots and lots of sleep. Drew is working on new closet doors for the bedroom downstairs. I am totally ready for him to go back to work. I love having him here -don't get me wrong- but, I feel like my routine and space has been totally encroached upon. Ladies, I know there are others out there who feel the same way.
Tonight we are headed to a little get together with friends to play games and watch movies. Have a Happy, Healthy New Year and remember 'nothing good ever happens after midnight', so don't stay out too late!

Amy and Ariyah

Sleepy Ariyah

We had cheese quesadillas for lunch. I stacked a bunch in a bowl and all of a sudden Teague reached in the bowl and pulled one out. I let him keep it to see what would happen and he ate almost the whole thing!

I love quesadillas!

Amy and Teague

Drew and Ariyah

Awwww... they're so cute!

Ariyah was beating up on Teague a couple of times and Teague got revenge.

Maier Christmas

Lissa took all these photos. Do you see a common theme?

I love camera flashes!

What's that?

Who is that under the tree?

Friday

Teague realized when Auntie Lissa was taking these pics that there were presents under the tree. The presents were cool because if you kick them, they make noise and sometimes they rip open. Bonus!!! He also loved the string on Lissa's camera and kept trying to crawl to get it.

Let me help you Daddy!
I love my Daddy!

Don't I look thrilled?

Daddy love - there's nothing else like it!

Here we are at the chocolate cafe. We love going on the weekends, especially since they usually have live entertainment. Teague loves listening to the music. I love the music and the lattes. We decided to come back again today and the Attila group was playing. If you haven't heard them, you should try to stop by the next time they are playing. It's worth it. Have a great weekend. Stay tuned for more Maier pics....

Last Week

Baby Lincoln and Mommy Sarah Snyder at the Chocolate Cafe.

He's only 3 weeks old in this picture. I think it's so cute how he's hunched over.

Teague did not like Drew and I holding Lincoln. He was very vocal about his jealousy. Later, he tried to climb up onto the lamb seat with Lincoln. He's notorious for trying to squish babies smaller than him. My mom watches a little guy named Kyle who is 4 months younger than Teague. Teague likes to pin him too!

Visiting Grandma Smith and Chico.

Curious Kids Museum playing with daddy in the toddler room. Thanks Howard Kahne for inviting us!

We've been busy!

Pre-Thanksgiving Kiss

Auntie Lissa took these silly pictures of Teague.

Teague loved turkey and sweet potatoes. He ate the mashed potatoes but didn't really care for them.

Ryder, Matt, and look closely to the left, there is another Maier on the way (being slow-cooked by Auntie Jennie)!

Uncle Norm's huge man hands! Look at Teague's fingers compared to Norms!

Teague's first Christmas Tree! It's a real Frazier Fir.

Friday evening we went to Grand Rapids to visit Zori and Normano. We also went to the Wealthy Village Christmas Tree Lighting.

Sunday afternoon visit with: Katie, Dan, William and Deanna Julian.

Angry food face!

Today

Yummy chocolate pudding face! (Good view of his two teeth.)

Asleep in the new car seat.
Teague "reading" the paper.

Teague waiting for dinner.

If I saw you today, sorry I was a total grouch! I'm not going to complain, I know there will be days like these.

Sickness

Thank the Lord I haven't been sick. Monday, I was praying that Drew had food poisoning when he woke up early and said his stomach hurt followed by a trip to the bathroom. I was wrong... it was the 24-hour flu - I'll take it over H1N1. So he was home from school Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I took care of him and sterilized everything. You should have seen all the laundry!!! Last night I heard a familiar sound from Teague - CROUP! Again! So we are headed out for a walk downtown this morning. Dr. Driscoll said it's good for the lungs, but bundle him up good! Then Oma's for lunch and more work with Drew (and Lissa too). Have a great day everyone!

New Moon

YES! I love the Twilight Saga. The books are fantastic. Kelley and I just got back from seeing New Moon at the Loma and the movie is very close to the book. Is it the best movie ever made? No. (Did I like it? Yes. I highly recommend the books too.) In fact, Roger Ebert gave the movie one star. This movie is true to the book and because of that the Twilight followers love it. I can't wait for Eclipse to come out!

Updates and a Scowl!

Mid-happy scream.
My sweet baby and his big blue eyes find another way to play with his saucer.

Last Friday I was working with Drew and the leaf pile was soooo high, I just had to jump in!

Cough.

Scowl.

Jazz hands.

Another scowl. It's his new favorite look.

  5. imitates play
  6. objects when something is taken away from him
