It's moments like this that make me forget everything....... I mean EVERYTHING! I'm not sure how he does it, but this little being has such a huge ability. He can in one instant make all my worries disappear, all my stress vanish, all my hurts just totally fade away and bring the biggest smile to my face. I can't believe that all those sleepless nights, all those moments filled with anxiety and fear being his mama, all the tears I've cried right alongside him are worth just one moment of this. Teagie I love you more than you'll ever know.
'But he said to me, "My grace us sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.' 2 Corinthians 12:9

Playgroup
Wednesday night we went to playgroup at Mars Elementary. We love going because there are so many fun things to do, plus we get a free book and a snack to take home with us. Here are some of the things we did:
played in the sensory box
played on the infant mat
walked the wooden duck
Teague loved to crawl in and out of the tube!
My beauty! Shoulda put her tutu on her. Oh well it was a total afterthought.
putting wooden shapes in the mailbox
matching frog patterns
Can't wait till next time!

night time
Does this give any indication of how my nights have been going? Well let me tell you that after 6 months of getting up multiple times a night to feed my little girl I had had enough. Literally, I was just mad. Not even about not sleeping. My patience were gone and I had decided I'm no longer going to get up in the middle of the night and feed my baby. She obviously is NOT starving. The above photo is taken the morning after.... Teague woke up at about 2:30am when Finn wanted to be soothed by me. So I brought him into my room since Drew was sleeping in the spare bedroom (he had a stuffy nose and didn't want to keep me up with his snoring) and Teague kept me up for 2 1/2 hours. Yep! I got 4 hours of sleep that night. But I was persistant with Finn and kept sticking her pacifier in her mouth and letting her cry it out for about 5 minutes. Then she would fall asleep. AND ever since she has gotten a little better every night. Not perfect, but better. Hope you all get a good nights sleep tonight!

bow for maddie
This is the bow that Finn wore for Maddie yesterday.
On Monday, Finley had her 6 month well visit. Dr. D. said our big girl is almost off the charts in weight at 19 lbs. 4 oz. I was recently told that I could be a rich woman if I sold my breast milk because of all the good fat in it.
Tomorrow we're headed to Traditions Photography to get some good quality photos of our kiddos. I'll post 'em later. Happy Friday and have an awesome weekend!

our daddy plays soccer
Teague and I have been going to Drew's soccer games the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I never got any good shots of Drew (although you can see players in the background) I did get a good one of Teague.

remember this day?
Lord, help us to remember when we first met and the strong love that grew between us. Help us love in practical ways so that nothing can divide us. May our words be kind and our thoughts be gracious. May we remain humble enough to ask for forgiveness and wise enough to freely forgive.
Happy Valentine's Day!

my daughter's eyes
Wow I love this girl and I love staring at her. I also love it when she grabs my face with both hands and gives me Eskimo kisses. She is so sweet to her mama.
And this boy. Need I say more? Our new curtains. Do you love them or hate them? There's also a chair that we're saving for that will go in the other corner of the room.

sickies
Finn has been sick with a cold. I've been furiously nursing her every night since Saturday to help her feel better and get as much fluids as possible.
Teague threw up 6 times yesterday and had a fever. Awesome. Even more awesome is going upstairs after it's been cleaned up and disinfected to the smell of vomit. He probably has the flu. He didn't puke last night while he was sleeping and I'm praying that he'll keep his food down today so we can go to playgroup tonight.

superbowl bust
Yep, Teague has another bruise on his head. I feel like such a helpless mother borderline bad mom. We were at Matt and Jennie's and of course Teague was zipping around the house when he slipped right onto their tv console. Instant goose egg. Drew, Alli and I held Teague down so I could put ice on it. Of course he hated it. Thank goodness it didn't split open, there would have been blood everywhere.
Today, it's already turning yellow.

Zori y Normano
Thanks Normano for the new toothbrush. In case you didn't know, Norm is a periodontist so oral health is very important to him. He says that people who don't floss are the ones who pay for his vacations (b/c they have such bad gum disease). This toothbrush lights up for 2 minutes which is the amount of time you are supposed to brush your teeth.
Normano feeding Finn apples.
Teague in his bag of toys.
Teague helping Normano put silverware away.
This table was made by Norm's dad like 55 years ago. It's related to Foosball, but this game is ice hockey.
Crazy kids!
Thanks for having us over Friday&Saturday. Like always we had a blast and we miss you already!

Random
I'm totally going to ramble tonight mostly because I'm a rambler and my thoughts are so random and mushy. Other moms out there you know what I mean.
Let me start with Teague. Friday we started something new. Enter pooping on the toilet. I totally caught Teague making one of those faces and I quickly grabbed him and put him on the toilet. We hung out for about 15 minutes when his turd decided to make it's debut. We celebrated, did a few high tens, woo hoo's and then I was faced with the do I or don't I. Do I take a picture of this and tuck it away for his eyes only as a moment in his history to be proud of and if I do, is that really gross? I decided it was a little too much. So I didn't. But I was kinda sad to watch that 1st poop swirl down into the hole of grossness. And while we're on the topic of gross. Tonight, I transitioned Teague in the tub and Finn out of the tub at about the same time and he peed on her. Awesome. Don't worry, she's clean. Again.
Yesterday at my mom's house Teague wanted a hair pretty (as we call them) in his hair and so I let him. I mean, how often to guys get to experience what it's like to be a lady. It's hard stuff and sometimes not so fun. He sported his sprout all day long and when we got home Drew asked politely never to do that again. Oops! (I thought it was okay and justified it by saying he looked like a blonde baby sumo wrestler. Right?)

Whoa! High heels baby! After church on Sunday night I was in the kitchen doing something and I hear Teague come clicking into the room. In my heels. I love my boy. He's always keeping me on my toes. Pun intended.
gettin' low
Hope y'all have a fantastic snow day tomorrow!
